Women’s Basketball Receiving Votes in National Poll

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Georgia College women’s basketball team (14-5, 6-5 PBC) is receiving votes in the USA Today/ESPN Coaches National Poll for the third straight week.

Georgia College received five votes in this week’s poll. The Bobcats went 1-1 on the week beating North Georgia at home, 63-55. GC then traveled to No. 2 Clayton State University where they suffered a devastating loss, 87-61.

Lander University still holds on to that No. 1 spot at 23-0 receiving 26-of-28 first place votes. Clayton State hangs on to that No. 2 spot and USC Aiken moves up one slot to No. 15.

The Bobcats play home Thursday, Feb. 10 against Augusta State University at 5:30 p.m.
