MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – For the fifth-straight week, the latest USA Today/ESPN Division II Top-25 Coaches Poll, released Jan. 4, the Georgia College women’s basketball team (8-1, 0-1 PBC) find themselves receiving votes.
Beginning the season 5-0, the Bobcats dropped their first game to conference foe Lander University, ranked No. 2 in the Coaches Poll. Since then, GC has rattled off three-straight wins. The Bobcats have eight points in the most recent poll.
No. 2 Lander University leads the three Peach Belt Conference (PBC) teams in the top-25. Clayton State University is ranked No. 5, while USC Aiken has a No. 22 ranking.
The Bobcats are back in action Saturday, Jan. 8 at 1:30 p.m., hosting No. 5 Clayton State at the Centennial Center.
