MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Georgia College women’s basketball program has made some great strides to begin the 2010-11 season and it seems people are finally beginning to notice. In the latest USA Today/ESPN Division II Top-25 Coaches Poll, released Dec. 7, the Bobcats find themselves receiving 15 total points.
Beginning the season 5-0, the Bobcats dropped their first game to conference foe Lander University, ranked No. 2 in the Coaches Poll. The Peach Belt Conference (PBC) is represented well, placing two teams in the top-10 with Lander and Clayton State University coming in at No. 6.
This marks the third consecutive week that Georgia College has received votes in the poll.
The Bobcats next game comes from the friendly confines of the Centennial Center against Winston-Salem State University Thursday, Dec. 6 at 5:30 p.m.
