MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Georgia College women's basketball team (12-3, 4-3 PBC) improved their conference win streak to a season-high four games Saturday.  The Bobcats knocked of the visiting University of Montevallo Falcons (7-8, 4-3 PBC) by a score of 57-43 at the Centennial Center.

Freshman Abby Slocumb (Suwanee, Ga.) had an impressive day for the Bobcats, racking up a career-high 10 points to go along with seven rebounds.

GC also received an outstanding all-around effort from senior Chimere Jordan (Gray, Ga.), who tallied another double-digit scoring effort.  With her 18 points, Jordan has now scored in double-figures in every game played this season.  Along with a superb offensive performance, Jordan also dazzled on the defensive end grabbing a career-high 11 boards, paired with three steals and two blocks.

Though not showing up much at the scorer's table, sophomore Karisma Boykin (Carrollton, Ga.) managed to grab eight rebounds.  Second on the team with 14 points was senior Dominique Huffin (Gray, Ga.), who really got things going early on, scoring six of the Bobcats first eight points of the game.

This was all the offense Georgia College needed, as they were able to hold a typically stout Falcons offense to just 30 percent (17-57) shooting from the floor.  The Bobcats also out-rebounded Montevallo by a margin of 42-34, ultimately sealing the victory.

The win marks head coach Maurice Smith's 12 of his career, passing former coach Benitta George for third on the all-time wins list.

GC looks to stay hot, taking their four game conference-winning streak on the road to battle Francis Marion University Friday, Jan. 28 at 5:30 p.m.
