FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla. - It was a tale of two halves. After holding a 36-29 lead at halftime, the Georgia College & State University women's basketball team (2-1) was outscored 42-26 in the second half en route to a 71-62 loss at Nova Southeastern University (2-1) in the second day of the NSU/Marriott Tipoff Classic.

The Bobcats had two players reaching scoring career-highs today. Georgia College was led by senior Candice Clark's (Warner Robins, Ga.) 14 points and sophomore Tammeisha Law (Athens, Ga.) added 12 points and 13 rebounds. The double-double by Law is also a first in her career.

2009 All-Peach Belct Conference (PBC) guard Shandrea Moore shined in her return to her hometown as she had 11 points and eight assists. Juniors Mandi Dudish (Snellville, Ga.) and Dominique Huffin (Tucker, Ga.) each had nine points to add to the Bobcats' scoring efforts.

Georgia College lost on the boards 52-29 and as a result, was out-scored on second-chance points 28-5. The Bobcats were also unable to make good at the free-throw line unlike their nemesis tonight as the Sharks shot 19-31 (.613) to the Bobcats' 7-17 (.412).

Stevie Kamp of Nova Southeastern led all scorers on the day with 15 points, adding 13 rebounds. Abbie Tepe and Jada Buckner both had 13 points for the Sharks.
