MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Georgia College & State University Department of Athletics announces its 2010 summer basketball camps for all ages with registration already underway.
The girls individual camp is scheduled for July 5-8. Registration is $210 for day campers and $285 for those staying overnight. The individual camps for boys is July 8-11; the cost is $200 for day campers and $275 for resident campers. Both individual camps are for 11 year-olds to rising high school seniors.
The pee-wee camp for girls and boys ages 6-10 will be held July 16-23. This camp is strictly a day camp, costing $180.
All campers will receive a Georgia College Basketball Camp t-shirt and valuable instruction. The camp staff will consist of Bobcat coaches and players and successful high school coaches. The camps will be led by head men’s basketball coach Terry Sellers and assistant women’s coach Maurice Smith. This past season Sellers led the Bobcat men to a successful 22-6 record, while Smith’s ‘Cats went 21-8, one of the best in recent years. Both programs claimed the Peach Belt Conference (PBC) West Division titles.
