Fourth-Straight Week At No. 6 in Region for Georgia College Women’s Basketball

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. - The women's hoops team at Georgia College & State University (17-7, 10-4 PBC) held the sixth spot for the fourth-straight week in the NCAA Southeast Region Poll released Feb. 17. Georgia College went 2-0 during the week, beating Augusta State University in overtime 56-52 on the road and then edging USC Aiken 57-54 at home.

The Bobcats are one of four Peach Belt Conference (PBC) members listed in this week's region poll. Lander University continues to sit atop the region, while Clayton State University and Francis Marion University remain in the No. 4 and No. 5 spots, respectively. GCSU rounds out the conference's appearance in the poll in the sixth position. 

Georgia College is back in action Saturday, Feb. 20 at the Centennial Center against Columbus State University for the annual Homecoming game at 1:30 p.m. The ‘Cats beat the Cougars earlier in the season 53-45.
