MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. - The women's basketball team at Georgia College & State University (17-6, 10-3 PBC) continues to receive votes in the USA Today/ESPN Division II Coaches Poll. The Bobcats received six votes in this week's poll release (Feb. 16).
The Bobcats won two Peach Belt Conference (PBC) games this week, defeating Augusta State University in overtime 56-52 on the road. Georgia College then edged USC Aiken 57-54 at home in the Centennial Center.
Once again, head coach John Carrick's ‘Cats are the only PBC member not nationally ranked that are receiving votes. Lander University is ranked No. 7 while Clayton State University is tied for No. 15 and No. 19 Francis Marion University are the only PBC school in the top-25.
Georgia College hits the hardwood today (Feb. 17) on the road against Georgia Southwestern at 5:30 p.m.
