AIKEN, S.C. - Averaging 19.5 points over two games in the 2010 Marvin Vanover Peach Belt Conference Tournament sponsored by GEICO, Georgia College & State University junior guard Chimere Jordan (Gray, Ga.) was selected to the All-Tournament Team, the conference office announced Sunday.
Jordan put in 22 points with eight rebounds and a pair of assists in the quarterfinal round to power the Bobcats past Georgia Southwestern State University 60-59. Jordan added 17 points and three boards in Saturday's semifinal loss to No. 17 Francis Marion University.
The local product is the first all-tournament team selection for the Bobcat women's basketball team since Marquita Driskell in 2007, and the 15th in program history.
The Bobcats await the selection announcement to the NCAA Tournament which will be announced Sunday night at 9 p.m.
