MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. - The Georgia College & State University women's basketball team (10-5, 5-3 PBC) is clawing its way into the USA Today ESPN Division II Top 25 Coaches' Poll.
The Bobcats received two votes in the latest poll released Tuesday (Jan. 20). This marks the first time this season that the squad has received votes. The ‘Cats upset Clayton State University 78-53 Saturday (Jan. 18) previously ranked No. 17 and fell to the 24th slot.
Georgia College defeated Georgia Southwestern University last night (Jan. 21) 62-58.
The Bobcats play No. 19 USC Aiken Saturday (Jan. 28) at 2 p.m. in Milledgeville at the Centennial Center. With a victory, Georgia College will have two wins over top 25 teams in one week.
