MARTINEZ, Ga. - The Peach Belt Conference (PBC) announced the Women's Basketball All-Academic teams today (April 9) with one player from Georgia College & State University making the squad.
Mandi Dudish (Snellville, Ga.), sophomore guard for the Bobcats, joins Morgan Johnson, Meredith Legg, Megan Starnes and Satu Leppanen of USC Aiken along with North Georgia's Syretha Marble on the All-Academic First Team.
To be eligible for the All-Academic team, a student-athlete must 1) participate in at least half of his/her team's events and be either a starter or significant contributor; 2) have achieved a 3.20 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) and 3) completed at least one full academic year at his or her current institution. The PBC Sports Information Directors oversee and select the teams. A tie for the final spot on the first team increased the size to six.
Dudish has 3.43 GPA while majoring in general business. She played in all 28 games, starting 23 times. Dudish averaged 8.7 points per game, pulling down just over two rebounds per contest. The three-point marksman was 66-for-195 from behind the arc, good for a .338 average.
