LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) recently released the Division II All-Region Teams, with Georgia College Softball senior Faith Flanders (Dublin, Georgia) taking a spot on the Southeast Region First Team.
Flanders finished off her career with a flair, hitting .391 with six home runs and 50 RBIs. The first baseman slugged .596 for the year, adding a .421 on-base percentage as well.
She ranks seventh in the Peach Belt Conference (PBC) in batting average, second in RBIs, and ninth in the league with 13 doubles.
This marks the second All-Region honor for Flanders after making the second team in 2016. Flanders will move on to the All-America ballot, with an announcement set for Wednesday, May 24. She is the first two-time All-Region honoree at first base in school history.
All-time, GC Softball has earned 30 All-Region honors from the NFCA, 10 of which coming during the seven seasons with Jamie Grodecki as head coach.
