GC Softball Team Receives Votes in Latest NFCA Poll

MILLEDGEVILLE Ga. – The Georgia College softball team once again earned recognition in the latest National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Coaches' Poll, tallying a total of six votes. This marks the third week in a row the Bobcats have managed to secure top-25 consideration for Division II rankings.
The Bobcats' Peach Belt Conference rivals Armstrong Atlantic State University (No. 3) and University of North Georgia (No. 15) were also featured among the top vote-getters. Armstrong rose one spot from their previous rank of No. 4, while UNG took a step backward, falling six spots from No. 9.
The 24-8 GC Bobcats travel to UNG today to face the Nighthawks in a doubleheader beginning at 4 p.m. before returning home to host a doubleheader of their own against the Armstrong Pirates Saturday, March 29. Game one begins at 2 p.m.
The Georgia College Department of Athletics, two-time winners of the PBC Commissioner's Cup, sponsors 11 varsity athletic programs at the NCAA Division II level.
