MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Georgia College softball team hosted a Toys for Tots drive at the men’s basketball home opener Nov. 28. Anyone attending the game received free entry with the donation of a toy.

In addition to the donation drive the softball team coordinated a wiffle ball game for kids that attended the game. Senior Dani Gallucci (Orlando, Fla.) was one of the main organizers on the team.

“To be able to give back to the community is always a great feeling,” Gallucci said. “We had a lot of fun playing with the kids and we also collected a number of toys for donation.”

The softball team will start their season Saturday, Feb. 2 when they take on Lincoln Memorial University in the first game of the 2013 Bobcat Blast.
