MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – Senior Dani Gallucci (Orlando, Fla.) was awarded the Bobcat Athlete of the Week after her three pitching performances with the Georgia College softball team (25-11, 9-3 PBC).
Gallucci started as pitcher three times for the Bobcats, coming away with a perfect 2-0 record. Both of her victories came in complete games.
In 19 innings this week, the senior only allowed 14 hits with just three earned runs. She also added an additional 10 strikeouts to her record.
Gallucci is currently second in the PBC with a 1.07 ERA. In 84 1/3 innings pitched, she has only walked eight batters.
In her most impressive game against UNC Pembroke, the senior held the Lady Braves to a miniscule three hits and gave up just one run.
The Bobcats will be back in action Thursday March 21, against No. 9 University of North Georgia at 5 p.m. The match will be a home game, a doubleheader and a conference game for the Bobcats.
