MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Daktronics All-Southeast Region Team was recently announced and senior Dani Gallucci (Orlando, Fla.) of the Georgia College softball team (37-17) was named to the second team.
It marks the first all-region honor for Gallucci, who was also named first team All-Peach Belt Conference (PBC). She finished in the top-15 in the PBC in appearances, complete games, wins, earned runs and strikeouts.
Gallucci pitched in in 29 games for the Bobcats, starting 24. She threw 167 2/3 innings while maintaining a 1.96 ERA and striking out 113. She went the distance 19 times and only walked 32 batters.
She also led the team with five home runs and was tied for second with 27 RBI, while appearing in all but four of the 54 games.
Gallucci helped the Bobcats to the PBC championship game and their first NCAA Regional Tournament appearance since 2009; they finished the year one game short of the championship round.
