MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – Junior righthander Sabrina Chandler (Covington, Ga.) of the Georgia College softball team (10-27, 5-5 PBC) was named Bobcat Athlete of the Week for the week ending March 20. This marks the first such honor for both Chandler and the GC softball team this season.
Chandler picked up all three GC wins in the circle for the week, tossing three complete games and posting a 1.33 ERA. She allowed just one unearned run in the 5-1 victory over Georgia Southwestern State University March 15, scattering just three hits. Against Augusta State University at home March 17 she allowed just one earned run on seven hits with two whiffs. The junior allowed just four total earned runs over 21 innings, striking out seven.
The Bobcats are back in action today, March 22 at 4 p.m. traveling to No. 4 North Georgia.
