MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Georgia College & State University softball program and assistant coach Katie Mlady is hosting Bobcat Softball Camp June 14-17 at the Peeler Complex softball field on West Campus.
From 9 a.m. to noon each day, youngsters have the chance to learn the game or fine-tune their skills and have more than a little fun in the process. The previous two-week format has been condensed to a single week, allowing aspiring softball players from ages 5-to-12 a chance to learn from members of one of the best softball programs in the southeast.
Head instructor and assistant coach Mlady has finished her second season with the Bobcat softball program after serving Concordia University (Seward, Neb.) as an assistant for two seasons. Success has followed Mlady as her Concordia Bulldogs made the NAIA Region III Tournament, and the 2009 Bobcats were also NCAA Tournament participants. The Bobcat softball team has advanced to the NCAA postseason in four of the last five seasons.
Registration is still available, for more information about, or to register for Bobcat Sports Camps in tennis, baseball, basketball, softball or soccer, visit www.GCSUCamp.com or call coach Mlady at 478-445-5279.
