MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. -- A hotdog eating contest will be held for Georgia College & State University students in between the Bobcat softball doubleheader against Barry University Wednesday, March 4 at 3 p.m. at the Peeler Complex.
Students can sign up to participate in the contest March 3 and 4 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Georgia College fountain. The hotdogs and prize for the eating contest will be provided by Bad Habit.
"The game against Barry should be a great game," said Ginger Chaffinch, head coach of the GCSU softball team, "They are a very tough team so it will be good competition."
To help cheer on the Bobcats, students are encouraged to bring their dogs with them to the game. The team plans to play a solid defense against Barry and add two more wins to its 10-7 overall record.
"For the Barry game the pitchers will focus on what we know about their batters and we will work to try and play solid defense," Coach Chaffinch said.
