MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. - The Georgia College & State University Bobcat softball team (6-1, 2-0 PBC) will compete in its first home game of the season against the Wingate Bulldogs on Saturday, Feb. 14, at noon at the Peeler Complex.
"Wingate beat us twice last year, so we have some work to do," Ginger Chaffinch, head coach of the Bobcats said. The team is looking forward to the doubleheader and hoping to come away with two wins.
With only losing three seniors and gaining seven other players, the coaches have high expectations for another great year.
"A lot of people don't know how successful we've been," Coach Chaffinch said. "This should be a very successful year for us. We just need students to come support our team."
The Bobcats are currently ranked No. 20 in the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA). They have also been invited to the NCAA Tournament the past three consecutive years.
