NEW ORLEANS – The United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) released its most recent round of region rankings, with Georgia College Men's Cross Country taking seventh in the Southeast Region. The Bobcats jump three slots on the strength of a third-place finish at the Peach Belt Conference (PBC) Championships.
The Bobcats are third among the PBC schools on the list, a group led by No. 3-ranked Augusta University, with UNC Pembroke coming in fourth. Columbus State University comes in a slot behind the Bobcats, with Flagler College in ninth. The University of Mount Olive from the Conference Carolinas maintains the top slot in the region.
Bobcat Men's Cross Country has appeared on each of the six polls during the regular season. This week's position matches the highest this season for the GC men.
The Bobcats will be back in action at the NCAA Southeast Regional Saturday, Nov. 4 in Wingate, North Carolina.
