NEW ORLEANS – The United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) released the most recent round of region rankings Tuesday, with Georgia College Men's Cross Country maintaining the seventh slot in the Southeast Region.
The GC Men's team ran to a team title last weekend in the "Garnet" or non-Division I section of the Winthrop/Adidas Invitational. The Bobcats now have two victories in as many races, and sit one shy of the school record, set in 2013.
The Bobcats were fourth among the five Peach Belt Conference (PBC) schools listed, with the Augusta University third, UNC Pembroke fourth and Columbus State University sixth. Flagler College came in eighth. The University of Mount Olive of the Conference Carolinas (CC) maintained the top slot in the region.
The Bobcats are back in action Saturday, Sept. 23 at the Bulldog Stampede, hosted by Wingate University.
