MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – Georgia College Cross Country alum Michael Warrick (2013-15) returns to the campus Thursday, Feb. 23 as the guest for a Inspire! Leadership Forum.
The evening begins with networking from 5-5:30 p.m. then the forum starts at 5:30 p.m. The event will be held in the University Banquet room on the Georgia College campus.
A news anchor for 41NBC/WMGT in Macon, Warrick ran cross country for three seasons for the Bobcats, and was a member of the most successful team in program history during the 2015 campaign. That year, the Bobcats finished a program-best seventh at the NCAA Southeast Regional. Warrick owns an 8K time that ranks in the top-five in school history.
Warrick is a news anchor and reporter for 41NBC/WMGT in Macon. Founded in 1968 as the second commercial station in the Middle Georgia market, WMGT-TV reports the news to more than 20 counties "Clear. Accurate. To the Point."
Warrick got his start with 41NBC as an intern during the summer of 2016. He was quickly hired full-time as a reporter. Within a few months, he took a position anchoring the weekday morning show from 5 a.m. - 7 a.m. and the mid-morning show at 11 a.m. He also anchors and produces a Sunday night show and works in a backup production role in the morning.
Michael graduated with a bachelor's degree in Mass Communication from Georgia College in May, 2016. He spent three semesters working with the school's student-run T.V. station, GC360, as an anchor and reporter.
