No Movement in Men’s Cross Country Region Poll

NEW ORLEANS – The United Sates Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) released its regional poll Tuesday, and the top-10 in the Men’s Cross Country Southeast Region all remained the same.

This will be the fourth-consecutive week the Bobcats have taken a spot in the top-10, and the second week in a row in the seventh slot.

The Bobcats are one of five Peach Belt Conference (PBC) teams in the top-10. Columbus State University and GRU Augusta remain second and third, behind first place Mount Olive College. Flagler College and UNC Pembroke round out the PBC schools in the top-10 in sixth and eighth places, respectively.

The Bobcats will be back in action Saturday, Oct. 12 at the Captain Chris Invitational hosted by Christopher Newport University in Newport News, Va.

The Georgia College Department of Athletics, two-time winners of the PBC Commissioner's Cup, sponsors 11 varsity athletic programs at the NCAA Division II level. As a Division II program, Bobcat Athletics prides itself on balancing the life of the student-athlete, evidenced by the teams' multiple appearances in post-season competition as well as documented academic success and community-service involvement.
