MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – Sophomore James Ryden (Atlanta) of the Georgia College cross country team, was named Bobcat Athlete of the Week for the week ending Sept. 18. This marks the first such honor for Ryden and GC men's cross country this season.
Ryden paced the Bobcats to the team title at the Bobcat Invitational, taking third place overall among 50 runners. Ryden blistered the tough 8K course for a 29:37, leading the squad at a race for the first time in his career.
The Bobcats will be back in action Sept. 21 at the Pop Crowell Invitational hosted by Gordon College in Wenham, Mass.
