GC Men’s Cross Country Ranked #9 in Preseason Regional Poll
NEW ORLEANS – The Georgia College men’s cross country team was tabbed No. 9 in the most recent U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA), as announced by the NCAA Tuesday.
The Bobcats return nine runners, adding only one in the offseason. Other notable Peach Belt Conference (PBC) teams in the top-10 are No. 3 UNC Pembroke, No. 4 Columbus State University and No. 8 Clayton State University. The Conference Carolinas took the top-2 spots. Queens College is tabbed No. 1 and King College takes No. 2.
The Bobcats finished 9-of-25 in the NCAA Southeast Regional at Charlotte, N.C. Daniel Horseman (Cohutta, Ga.) finished 25-of-164, pacing the Bobcats.
GC cross country starts its season Friday, Sept. 2 at home, hosting the Bobcat Invitational on the West Campus Cross Country Course.
