MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – Senior student-athlete Daniel Horseman (Cohutta, Ga.) was named Georgia College Athlete of the Week, as announced by the sports information office.
Horseman helped lead the Bobcats to a third place finish at the Augusta State University Jaguar Invitational this past weekend, finishing fifth overall among 44 runners.
His time of 26:22 on the 8K course topped his previous best of the season by nearly 40 seconds, while giving him the third fastest 8K time in school history.
The blistering pace also secured Horseman’s spot among the all-time elite at Georgia College, as he now owns the top three times ever recorded by a Bobcat harrier.
Horseman and the rest of the ‘Cats will have a week off before competing in the Peach Belt Conference (PBC) Championships Oct. 22 in Aiken, S.C.
