NEW ORLEANS - The United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association of America (USTFCCCA) recently released its region rankings, with the Georgia College & State University men's team taking seventh.

The Bobcats ranked third among the five Peach Belt Conference (PBC) schools on the list. Queens (N.C.) University took the top slot, followed by 2008 PBC Champion Columbus State University. Fellow conference school Clayton State University was picked third, followed by Mars Hill College, Lees-McRae College, Erskine College and then the Bobcats. Winding down the list were Lenoir-Rhyne University, North Georgia and UNC Pembroke.

The Bobcats are led by two-time All-PBC runner and senior Josh Hollar (Canton, Ga.), but sophomore Rob Manning (Lawrenceville, Ga.) posted a top-10 finish and four spots in the top-20 in his seven races.

The men begin their 2009 campaign Saturday, Sept. 12 at the Berry Invitational, hosted by Berry College.
