MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga.-The Georgia College & State University cross country teams were named in the U.S. Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCA) Division II Southeast Regional Rankings again this week, remaining in the top-10 as released yesterday (Oct. 7).
The women slipped one spot this week to No. 8 while the men remained in the tenth slot. Two other Peach Belt Conference (PBC) teams were ranked above the Bobcats in both polls. In the women's regional rankings Columbus State University and Augusta State University claimed the top two spots, while Lander University sits in tenth. On the men's side, Clayton State University and Columbus State take Nos. 2 and 3.
Both teams competed in the Pepperdine Invitational this past weekend in Malibu, Calif. The women finished seventh out of all 10 teams and first out of the three Division II schools present in the 6K run. The Georgia College men completed the 8K ninth overall and third in D-II schools.
The Bobcats are back in action Saturday, Oct. 25 as they host the Peach Belt Championships.
