AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Peach Belt Conference (PBC) announced its PBC Men's Tennis All-Academic Team this week, with No. 25 Georgia College (10-9) landing junior Jannik Kumbier (Neumunster, Germany) on the 22-member team.
Kumbier owns a 3.56 GPA in Economics at Georgia College. He makes his second appearance on the list.
Players must fulfill three qualifications to gain a spot on the All-Academic Team. An athlete must play in at least half of the team games and be either a starter or significant contributor to their team's success level. They must also have at least a 3.30 cumulative GPA and have completed at least a year of schooling at their institution with sophomore athletic eligibility.
The Bobcats are back in action Friday, April 20 at 1 p.m. opening the PBC Tournament against No. 8 USC Aiken in Florence, South Carolina.
