TEMPE, Ariz. – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) released its most recent round of national rankings, with Georgia College Men's Tennis climbing two places to take the No. 23 spot, a season-best for the Bobcat men.

This marks the highest national ranking for GC Men's Tennis since a No. 14 position a year ago.

The Bobcats move two slots based on a win over then-No. 34 University of North Georgia, and a 6-3 loss to then-No. 3 Lander University Tuesday.

Georgia College is ranked fifth among the eight Peach Belt Conference (PBC) schools on the list, led by No. 3 Columbus State University. The Cougars are followed by No. 4 Lander, No. 8 Flagler College and No. 13 USC Aiken. No. 25 Young Harris College, No. 26 Francis Marion University and No. 34 North Georgia come in behind the Bobcats. The top spot belongs to Saint Leo University.

Senior Pedro Ecenarro (Santiago de Compostella, Spain) also moves up four slots on the individual national ranks, coming in at No. 20. Ecenarro is 12-3 in singles play this season, including a 3-2 mark against Nationally-Ranked opponents.

The Bobcats' top doubles pairing of junior Jannik Kumbier (Neumunster, Germany) and sophomore Robin Moller (Hamburg, Germany) owns a 10-slot increase, named the No. 34 national doubles team. Kumbier and Moller are 10-5 this season.

The Bobcats are back in action Thursday, April 12 at 4 p.m., traveling to No. 3 CSU.
