MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – Georgia College Men's Tennis had another successful day Saturday at the GC Fall Championships with senior Pedro Ecenarro (Santiago de Compostella, Spain) winning the singles title.
Ecenarro topped teammate Jannik Kumbier (Neumünster, Germany) in semifinal action 6-2, 6-4 to start the day. Then the former PBC Freshman of the Year Ecenarro squared off with Lander University's Omar El-Moslemany for the singles title. El-Moslemany took the first set 4-6, but Ecenarro took the second 7-6 and the third 10-8.
In the doubles title matchup Ecenarro wasn't as successful, teaming with newcomer Enzo Kohn (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) for an 8-6 title game loss to Lander's El-Moslemany and Gabriel Couto.
The Bobcats are back in action Friday, Sept. 29 at the ITA Southeast Regionals in Sumter, South Carolina.
