Bobcat Men’s Tennis #28 in Final ITA National Poll

TEMPE, Ariz. – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) released its final Division II Men's Tennis National Rankings recently, with Georgia College (11-12, 3-7 PBC) and head coach Steve Barsby taking the No. 28 spot.

The Bobcats jump three slots from the most recent national poll, coming back on April 26. Georgia College is sixth of the eight Peach Belt Conference (PBC) schools on the list, led by No. 3 Columbus State University. Armstrong State University comes in seventh, followed by No. 9 Lander University, No. 11 Flagler College and No. 12 University of North Georgia. No. 30 USC Aiken and No. 38 Francis Marion University come in behind the Bobcats.

The Bobcats hold wins over two teams in front of them in the national rankings, beating No. 3 CSU and No. 14 Auburn University-Montgomery.

The 2017 season has come to a close for GC Men's Tennis, marking their 11th straight year in making an NCAA Tournament appearance. Graduate student Christian Graff took top team honors by earning a slot on the All-PBC Second Team in singles.
