TEMPE, Ariz. – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) released its latest Oracle National and Regional Rankings, with Georgia College Men's Tennis (11-11) owning the No. 31 spot in the country.
The Bobcats are seventh among the eight Peach Belt Conference (PBC) schools on the list, led by No. 3 Columbus State University. Armstrong State University is seventh, with Lander University coming in eighth. No. 11 University of North Georgia, No. 15 Flagler College and No. 29 USC Aiken also come in before GC Men's Tennis. Francis Marion University owns the No. 45 slot. The nation's No. 1 team is the University of West Florida of the Gulf South Conference (GSC).
The GC Men pull in the No. 8 spot in the ITA Southeast Region Rankings as well. Graduate student Christian Graff (Lohmar, Germany) is the No. 10 singles player in the region, flanked by No. 12 Pedro Ecenarro (Santiago de Compostella, Spain). Graff is 11-9 in singles play this year, with three wins over nationally-ranked competition. Ecenarro owns a team-best 17-5 mark, including 9-1 in PBC play.
The Bobcats are back in action Saturday, April 29 at 1 p.m., traveling to Savannah, Georgia to take on No. 7 ASU at the NCAA Southeast Regional.
