The GC men's team got off to a great start with a 2-1 lead after doubles play. All three Bobcat pairings are now tied at 12-6 on the season.

The Bobcats top pair, the No. 16 doubles team of sophomore Yannick Hass (Troisdorf, Germany) and senior Alex Schubert (Frankfurt, Germany) won in the first spot 9-7 against Alejandro Andino and Patrick Stiebinger.

Sophomore Taylor Powell (Martinez, Ga.) and freshman Anton Waern (Taby, Sweden) were beaten 8-4 at second doubles by Lucas Gobbi and Ettore Damini.

Freshman Kyle Kinsler (Suwanee, Ga.) and sophomore Mattia Campus (Concorezzo, Italy) defeated Andy Quirk and Jaime Gusano 8-2 in the third spot.

The Bobcats retired after taking the next three singles matches to get the fifth and deciding point. In the only match of the day featuring nationally-ranked players, No. 33 Hass upset No. 26 Damini in two 6-4 sets in the first spot. Hass is now a team-best 14-4 on the season.
