SKILLMAN, N.J.  – The Georgia College men's tennis team (2-1) has been ranked fifth in the 2013-14 Division II Men's Regional Team Rankings for the Southeast by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Wednesday, Feb. 19. Seven of the 10 ranked teams are from the Peach Belt Conference (PBC).

The Bobcats slipped one notch from the last poll Nov. 11, 2013. Ahead of Georgia College in the most recent poll are four PBC teams. Armstrong Atlantic State University, Lander University, Columbus State University and USC Aiken are the top-four teams in that order.

The Bobcats will open PBC play when they take to the court next at Georgia Southwestern State University Saturday, Feb. 22 for a 1 p.m. start.

The Georgia College Department of Athletics, two-time winners of the PBC Commissioner's Cup, sponsors 11 varsity athletic programs at the NCAA Division II level. As a Division II program, Bobcat Athletics prides itself on balancing the life of the student-athlete, evidenced by the teams' multiple appearances in post-season competition as well as documented academic success and community-service involvement.
