SKILLMAN, N. J. – The 2012-13 Men’s Division II Preseason National Rankings were released Nov. 16 and the Georgia College team took spots in the team, singles, and doubles lists.

The Bobcats were ranked No. 16 nationally, with eight other Peach Belt Conference (PBC) teams ranking in the top-35. The Bobcats finished the 2011-12 season ranked No. 17.

Senior Johan Wadstein (Helsingborg, Sweden) was the only Bobcat ranked in the singles top 50, coming in with the No. 47 spot. Wadstein is one of 12 members of the PBC to be ranked in the preseason top-50.

Wadstein and fellow senior Tyler Franks (Greensboro, Ga.) ranked No. 23 in doubles. Wadstein finished the 2011-12 ranked No. 7, playing with now graduated Jerome Leborgne.

The Bobcats' fall season was highlighted by a trip to the Southern Intercollegiates in Athens, Ga. as well as impressive performances from Wadstein, Franks, and freshman Taylor Powell (Martinez, Ga.) at the ITA Regionals.

The Bobcats will kick off the spring portion of the 2012-13 season in February, with the schedule still to be announced.
