MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – Georgia College
men’s tennis will start their fall season Friday when they
travel to Athens, Ga. for the 45th Annual Southern Intercollegiate
Championships.
The tournament will run from Friday, Sept. 7 through Monday, Sept.
10, with multiple divisions of singles and doubles play. In
addition to the University of Georgia, Clemson University, Virginia
Tech, the University of Florida, the University of Kentucky, and
Ole Miss will be competing. Over 20 schools will send athletes to
compete in the UGA-hosted tournament.
Wictor Andersson (Karlskoga, Sweden),
Tyler Franks (Greensboro, Ga.) and
Johan Wadstein (Helsingborg, Sweden)
will represent the Bobcats and will all be competing in singles
play.
The Georgia College Department of Athletics, two-time winners of
the PBC Commissioner's Cup, sponsors 11 varsity athletic programs
at the NCAA Division II level. As a Division II program, Bobcat
