MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – Senior Johan Wadstein (Helsingborg, Sweden) of the Georgia College men’s tennis team (15-3, 5-2 PBC) was awarded Bobcat Athlete of the Week after his performances this week.

Wadstein earned the straight-set victory Tuesday against UMKC’s Grant Fleming, 6-3, 7-6.

The senior also conquered Caspari in straight sets, 6-3, 7-6. Caspari is the highest-ranked opponent that Wadstein has beaten this year, previously taking down No. 21 Aloua Adjenak of Saint Leo University Feb. 9.

The Bobcats will be back in action Saturday, April 6 against USC Aiken at 1 p.m. The match will be an away game and the ninth conference game for Georgia College.
