SKILLMAN, N.J. – Georgia College senior Jerome Leborgne (Coordimanche, France) of the Bobcat men’s tennis team was named to the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Scholar Athlete List for Division II, the organization announced recently.
Owning a 3.82 GPA in his undergrad degree in mathematics, Leborgne spent the 2011-12 academic year working on his Master’s in Business Administration, where he had a 4.0 at the nomination deadline.
The No. 27 singles player in the country, Leborgne was a two-time All-Peach Belt Conference (PBC) singles player and a one-time doubles honoree, adding ITA Doubles All-America honors in 2012. He received the school’s top honor as Senior Male Athlete of the Year and was also chosen the ITA Southeast Region Arthur Ashe Award winner.
Leborgne went 32-27 in spring singles action during his career, including a 38-28 mark in spring doubles as well. He is also a two-time PBC All-Academic selection.
