Men’s Tennis Finishes Season Ranked #11 in the Nation

SKILLMAN, N.J. – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) recently released updated national rankings, with Georgia College men's tennis (19-7) placing No. 11 in the nation. The Bobcats recently finished their season as the runner-up to No. 2 Armstrong in the NCAA Southeast Regional Tournament.

The Bobcats were previously ranked No. 17 after starting the season with the No. 16 position. The No. 11 ranking is the third-best finish in the NCAA era of Bobcat Tennis.

Senior Johan Wadstein (Helsingborg, Sweden) ranked No. 21 in singles, using a strong end to his season to jump over 20 spots in the rankings.

The Bobcats reached the NCAA Regional Tournament for the seventh year in a row during the 2012-13 season; their furthest post-season trip came in 2009 when they reached the Elite Eight.
