#17 Bobcat Men Down #30 Pacers, 5-3
AIKEN, S.C. – The No. 17 Georgia College men's tennis team (17-3, 7-2 PBC) faced off at No. 30 USC Aiken (9-6, 3-6 PBC) Saturday afternoon and came away with a 5-3 come-from-behind victory.
The Bobcats would finish doubles play down 2-1, with Yannick Hass (Troisdorf, Germany) and Wictor Andersson (Karlskoga, Sweden) teaming together in the top doubles slot and defeating Patrick Stiebinger and Max Wichelhaus 8-3
The Bobcats quickly turned the match around, starting with Ainalides who made quick work of Stiebinger in the second singles slot 6-2, 6-1.
No. 48 Wadstein played in the top position against Zerath and the Bobcat gave his team a 4-3 lead with a 6-3, 6-0 victory.
Hass played a tough three-set match against Ettore Damiani but lost 6-4, 6-7, 6-2.
Andersson pushed the Bobcats back into the lead at 4-3 as he defeated Orlandini 6-3, 2-6, 6-3. Campus finished the match off as he took down Lucas Gobbi 7-6, 7-5.
The Bobcats finish the regular season Sunday, April 7 at 2 p.m. when they travel to No. 7 Lander University.
