Youth Tennis Festival Provides Unique Experience

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Georgia College men’s and women’s tennis team hosted an array of Milledgeville youth this past Saturday, allowing children to participate in a tennis festival that involved numerous games and activities. All proceeds for this event and the Milledgeville Open public tennis tournament went directly to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

“The event was extremely successful,” according to head tennis coach Steve Barsby. “I think our student-athletes did a fantastic job teaching and spending time with the kids that attended.”

The tennis program just held the annual Milledgeville Open, a tennis tournament open to locals that directly benefitted the Make-A-Wish Foundation, as well.

Over $1000 was raised between the Milledgeville Open and the Youth Tennis Festival for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
