SKILMAN, N.J. – Two Georgia College men’s tennis players were named to the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Scholar-Athlete list, the organization announced recently.
Rising senior Jerome Leborgne (Courdimanche, France) and Robert Angelucci (Acworth, Ga.) both earned slots on the academic list.
Leborgne and Angelucci were also named to the Peach Belt Conference (PBC) Men’s Tennis All-Academic Team this season.
In order to earn ITA Scholar-Athlete status a player must meet the following criteria: 1.) be a varsity letter winner, 2.) have a grade point average of at least 3.50 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year, and 3.) have been enrolled at their present school for at least 2 semesters (including freshman thorough senior year).
The Bobcat men’s tennis team kicks off the fall season Friday, Sept. 16 by hosting the Annual Georgia College Men’s Fall Championships.
