MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Georgia College athletic department and the tennis program are pleased to announce that the annual Milledgeville Open and Kids Tennis Festival will be held Friday, Nov. 18 through Sunday, Nov. 20 at the Centennial Center Tennis Facility.
The tournament features men’s and women’s divisions, including doubles action in both categories as well as co-ed. The entry for the open is $20 for singles and $30 for doubles teams. All competitors get a tournament T-shirt and cookout, as well as a weekend of competitive tennis.
For the first time in its existence the Open will have a Sorority and Fraternity Division. There will be an award given to the Fraternity or Sorority with the most participants and an individual award to the winner.
The kids festival, set for Saturday, Nov. 19 at 10 a.m. is open to ages 3-to-13, with a $10 entry fee. The Kids Tennis Festival also features singles and doubles action.
$1,000 of the total proceeds will be donated to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
