MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – Georgia College recently brought together a multitude of cultures to celebrate 2011 International Day. There was no shortage of Bobcat student-athletes among the 40 countries represented, as nearly a dozen took part in the opportunity to support their heritage.

The day involved the representation of various countries by GC students, taking place on Front Campus.

Among those in attendance were tennis players Jerome Leborgne (Coordinmanche, France), Leo Bernardes (Sao Paulo, Brazil) and Ivana Meravic (Rottweil, Germany)

Joining the pair were golfer Pontus Andersson (Helsingborg, Sweden), women’s cross country runner Victoria Dobson (New Hamburg, Ontario) and women’s soccer Leah Frazer (Mississauga, Ontario).

All embraced the chance to inform people of their customs and cultures, sharing stories and various items that helped give visitors a better understanding of the vast differences among the GC student body.
