MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – Junior men’s tennis player Wictor Andersson (Karlskoga, Sweden) has been named Georgia College Athlete of the Week as announced by the Sports Information office Tuesday afternoon.
Andersson was flawless in his pair of matches last week, helping the Bobcats to a perfect 9-0 sweep over Erskine College.
He won his singles match over Aaron Twitty in straight-sets 6-0, 6-0, after pairing with Leo Bernardes (Sao Paulo, Brazil) to take down Twitty and James Haotson 8-2 in doubles action.
Andersson is perfect in his two singles competitions this season, while remaining among the team leaders with a 5-3 doubles record.
The GC men will return home to face Georgia Southwestern State University Saturday, March 24 at 1 p.m.
