PENSACOLA, Fla. – The No. 29 Georgia College men's tennis squad (7-7) took down the Lindenwood University Lions (5-8) 9-0 Friday morning.

The Bobcats started hot, going up 3-0 after doubles action. No. 9 Jerome Leborgne (Coordimanche, France) and Johan Wadstein (Helsingborg, Sweden) rebounded from a loss yesterday and destroyed Thiago Mastroianni and Eric Tucoulou 8-1.  Tyler Franks (Greensboro, Ga.) and Kasper Konyves (Helsingborg, Sweden) followed suit with their own 8-1 victory over Otavio Costa and William Hale.

The duo of Wictor Andersson (Karlskoga, Sweden) and Leo Bernardes (Sao Paulo, Brazil) were the last ones to finish but did it with ease, toppling Rahul Sadhwani and Gauthier Schilling 8-3.

GC remained on fire in singles, as Wadstein took down Schilling in straight sets 6-1, 6-1 in the second slot. Konyves shut out Vicenzio in fourth singles to clinch the team win, and No. 24 Leborgne won in a marathon two-setter against Tucoulou, 6-2, 7-5 in first singles.

In the third slot, Bernardes took down Matroianni in the third slot with a 6-2, 6-2 victory. Alex Schubert (Frankfurt, Germany) also beat Rahul Sadhwani in straight sets, 6-4, 6-2. In the sixth spot, Andersson finished off the sweep with a 6-2, 6-2 victory over Hale.

Wadstein and Bernardes are still tied for the team lead at 9-5 in singles action. The Andersson/Bernardes win in doubles ties the pairing with Leborgne and Wadstein for a 9-5 mark overall this year.

This brings an end to the GC men's Spring Break trip, as BYU-Hawaii cancelled their men's match with the Bobcats. The Bobcat men are back in action Friday, April 6 at 2 p.m., traveling to No. 5 Valdosta State University.
