GC Tennis to Host Drill Program and Junior Bobcat Tennis Program

by Brian DeCandia, sports information graduate assistant

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – Georgia College head tennis coach Steve Barsby is pleased to announce that the Monday Night Drill Group will be starting up again Monday, Jan. 17 and the Georgia College Junior Bobcat Tennis Program will start up again Saturday, Jan. 29.

The cost is $15 for the 90-minute drill program with no commitment. Patrons can show up the night of drills any week they can make it. Remember, any athlete who is able to do drills can come to these sessions. The courts are broken up between juniors and adults so everyone competes with people of their own age group. This allows participants to have fun and meet new people while getting some great instruction.

Also, the Saturday Junior Bobcat Tennis Program with be starting up again Jan. 29 and will run until March 19. Kids up to fifth grade will play from 9:30 a.m. - 10:45a.m. and kids grades 6-12 will be from 11 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. The Junior Tennis Program will run for eight weeks at a cost of $99 and the last day will be a game and prize day for the participants. All kids that sign up will receive a Georgia College Junior Tennis shirt.
