SKILLMAN, N.J. - The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) released its National and Regional Rankings Tuesday, March 2 and the Georgia College & State University men's tennis team (5-2, 2-1 PBC) claimed the No. 11 spot nationally and No. 3 in the regional list.
The Bobcats hold on to the No. 11 and No. 3 positions in the National and Regional Rankings from the fall poll released Nov. 6. Armstrong Atlantic State University takes top honors in the national list, while Barry University claims second place. Valdosta State University moved up a spot from fourth to third with Lynn University now residing at No. 4, while Columbus State University is in eighth.
The Peach Belt Conference (PBC) dominates the Southeast regional poll, owning the first eight positions. Armstrong Atlantic, Columbus State and Georgia College take the top-three spots with Lander University trailing behind in fourth, while Francis Marion University rounds out the top-five. Flagler College, USC Aiken and Augusta State University are named No. 6, No. 7 and No. 8, respectively.
The Bobcats are back in action Friday, March 5 as they host No. 15 Francis Marion at 2 p.m.
